🔎How to find more alpha on CT
Vechain is the largest blockchain that rewards positive real-world impact. Check it out here.
I’ve heard a lot of people saying that there’s no alpha on Crypto Twitter anymore.
And while I agree that there was more high-quality content 2-3 years ago than now, X is still an amazing platform for finding underrated opportunities in my view.
So, in this issue, I wanted to share a few things you can do to find better content on X without scrolling endlessly.
Let’s dive in 👇
1. Use Advanced Search to find good accounts to follow
CT is full of people who like to say “I told you so” even when they aren’t right.
Fortunately, X has a feature called Advanced Search that makes it easy to find X accounts worth following that actually have a great track record you can verify.
Here’s how to use it:
Step 1 - Pick a major recent crypto opportunity
For example, it can be the Plasma ICO, which was highly rewarding for its participants. Or a token that pumped a lot recently, and you want to see what X accounts talked about it before the pump.
I’ll take the $ZEC token as an example, as it’s up more than 10x in the last 3 months. Now we want to find the exact date just before it started pumping.
In this case, you can see below that it pumped the most after Sept. 20.
Step 2 - Go to X Advanced Search (you can easily access it by clicking a button on the right side of the X search bar - the three horizontal dots button)
On Advanced Search, select to show only X posts that include the ticker $ZEC, have a minimum of 5 likes, and have been made before Sept. 20, 2025
Step 3 - Click Search, select “Latest” to see the most recent posts, and scroll down to see who was bullish on ZEC before this date
For this experiment, by doing this, I found a post from DeFi Ignas where he was sharing that he bought ZEC and was explaining why.
If you’re not already following him, I highly recommend giving him a follow.
As you can see in the screenshot below, his post was made on Sept. 18. Back then, ZEC was trading at $51. At the time of writing, the ZEC price is $499!
Now, the fact that he was right about ZEC doesn’t mean that you should blindly copy trade him from now on, or think that he will always be right.
You still have to do your own research.
But using X’s advanced search in the way I just described is a great method to find people worth following, like DeFi Ignas, who have covered a certain opportunity before it became obvious.
2. Create custom X lists
If you’re not already doing this, I guarantee you that using X lists will significantly improve your experience on CT.
X lists allow you to see in a curated feed only the content published by a certain group of people you chose.
Creating one is very easy:
go to X
Click on “Lists” on the left side
Click on “New List” at the top of the page
Give the list whatever name and description you want
Select Next and add to it your favorite X accounts
My advice is to create a separate X list for every topic you’re interested in.
For example, let’s say you’re interested in stablecoin yield farming, DeFi investments, and prediction markets.
My suggestion is to add your favorite X accounts focused on yield farming (e.g. @phtevenstrong and @OlimpioCrypto) to an X list called “Yield Farming”. And do the same thing with two other lists called “DeFi investments” and “Prediction Markets”.
Then check them once or twice a day to see if anyone talks about an opportunity or a strategy you find interesting.
Obviously, the first step in all of this is to find a few X accounts you really like.
But after that, adding them to an X list to ensure you do not miss their content is a no-brainer, in my opinion. Using lists is way better for finding valuable information than just scrolling through your home feed.
Before I share a few other X tools, here’s an overview of Vechain’s Hayabusa - one of Vechain’s biggest upcoming upgrades:
Together with Vechain
Hayabusa is reshaping VeChain - Here’s how
VeChain is entering a new era with the upcoming launch of the Hayabusa upgrade.
In case you’re not familiar with it, Vechain is the world’s largest blockchain that rewards positive real-world impact, and it’s also a major UFC partner.
Speaking about the Hayabusa upgrade, not only it brings real decentralization, but it also enables delegators to play a meaningful role in the network for the first time.
Here’s a simple breakdown of what’s changing:
VET delegators will get true governance power - Hayabusa enables them to influence the network and directly contribute to its security
Rewards shift to active delegation - 70% of rewards will go to delegators, and 30% to validators to reward active participation
Stargate 2.0 brings a new dashboard - This one will make it easy to see the validator list, APY comparisons, and the network health
Higher rewards for nodes - All new VTHO tokens created by the blockchain will be given only to node owners
There are only a few days left until the Hayabusa upgrade, which will launch on Dec. 2.
You can prepare by downloading Vechain’s VeBetter wallet here.
This will be a major step forward for decentralizing the Vechain network and strengthening VET tokenomics, while also rewarding active network participants.

3. Use X Pro (formerly known as TweetDeck)
X Pro is a great tool if you want to organize the content you’re seeing. The only drawback is that it requires having X Premium to use it.
If you already have an X Premium subscription, I recommend giving it a try.
With X Pro, you can add multiple columns on the same page with:
Custom searches
Bookmarked posts
Top articles
X lists
Grok
In this way, you’ll be able to see all of these things in one single place.
What’s more, X Pro allows you to filter content based on a lot of filters. For example, you can include or exclude posts that contain a certain word.
Or you can select to see only the posts that have a minimum number of likes you set.
Generally, when I look for posts related to a certain crypto topic, I just search relevant keywords on X Pro using the search bar (e.g. search “airdrop farms”) and filter results to show only posts with at least 10 likes that are from accounts I already follow.
This helps me find high-quality posts regarding that topic much more easily.
4. Mute words about topics you’re not interested in
I’ve seen a lot of people complaining that their X feed is full of posts about paid InfoFi campaigns that they are not interested in.
What you can do is mute words related to things you don’t care about. By doing this, you’ll no longer see posts including these words on your timeline ever again.
Doing this is pretty simple:
Go to X Settings
Click on “Privacy and safety”
Then click on “Mute and block”
Go to “Muted words” and add the words you want to no longer see
For example, you can mute “InfoFi”.
Or, if you’re not interested in memecoins, you can mute the word “memecoin”.
If you want to take it one step further, you can even mute a certain X account that you feel doesn’t provide any value via its content.
This should help you improve your X feed.
With that being said, those are all the tips I wanted to share today.
I hope you find this guide helpful!
It’s true that the quality of X content has degraded over the past few years.
But I believe that X can still be an insanely useful tool for everyone who’s in crypto as long as it’s used right.
Have a great weekend!

thank you so much for this, ser.
never ever gonna miss any of your articles. thank you bountifully. you see, web3 did, infofi and all those shit, I'm muting them. don't even know this is on x
