One dApp that has gained a lot of traction lately is Footballdotfun.

It’s a football prediction market with GameFi mechanisms that fractionalizes the shares of players. Yesterday, it generated $900k in fees.

In short, it works like this:

To use it, you need to create an account and deposit USDC on Base in order to get gold (1 USDC = 1 gold), which can be used to buy players.

If the players you bet on perform well in real world football matches, you’ll earn points that can be used to open player packs to get more player shares.
